The Premier Body Armor Vertx Gamut 2.0 Insert provides protection in situations where you carry a backpack. The Vertx 2.0 is a backpack that features a hidden compartment that is specifically designed for armor plates. These plates can be used in regular backpacks and bags as well.
We certainly live in uncertain times that consist of threats of active shooters at schools, malls, and even churches. While it may not be practical to wear body armor on your person, it is much easier to have your bag with you. These are IIIA plates which means they are meant to stop handgun rounds up to .44 magnum. They even have been tested on 12 gauge slugs! Body armor is not meant to be impenetrable but it is stab-resistant and provides you with very good protection.
