Below are course descriptions for the Law Enforcement and Industrial Security Training that Frontier Justice provides.

LEOSA Qualification

Frontier Justice can conduct the shooting qualification for Qualified Retired Law Enforcement Officers. Proof of Qualified Retired Law Enforcement Officer status is required.

Basic Pistol LEO Certification

At the end of the course attendee will be able to demonstrate the following:

  1. The fundamentals of marksmanship: stance, draw, grip, sight picture, sight alignment, trigger press, and follow-through.
  2. Proper drawing of the handgun from the duty belt, point shoot, and combat tuck position.
  3. The proper way to perform a forced or combat reload and a tactical reload and identify when each is needed.
  4. When and how to perform a closed port/phase one stoppage or malfunction drill.
  5. The proper technique for shooting a handgun utilizing the strong hand and support hand in shooting.
  6. Test using Pistol Qualification Course- PQC 15 (KCMO) 75% to pass.
  7. The proper technique for use of cover while in the standing position.

Pistol Operation and Qualification

At the end of the course attendee will be able to demonstrate the following:

  1. How to draw a pistol from a snapped holster and come onto a target in a safe manner.
  2. Perform the task of engaging multipliable targets with a pistol.
  3. Perform horizontal and vertical displacement exercises while firing.
  4. Perform tactical and emergency reloads during live fire.
  5. Demonstrate how to adapt to covered position on both dominate and support sides from a standing, kneeling and modified prone position.
  6. Demonstrate the ability to fire a pistol with both support and dominate hand.
  7. Produce a qualifying score during range qualification.

Items 1-6 will be evaluated by the instructor during the course, to see if the student performs/demonstrates stated items. Item 7 student must shoot a qualifying score of 70% to pass qualification phase. If student cannot shoot the score required, he or she will not pass this course.

Basic Rifle and Shotgun Training

At the end of the course attendee will be able to demonstrate the following:

  1. Basic maintenance of the AR-15.
  2. Proper ammunition selection.
  3. Accessory use; sling, sights.
  4. Basic 50-yard sighting.
  5. Basic stance, marksmanship, and accuracy fundamentals.
  6. Forced reload and speed reload.
  7. Malfunctions; understand and demonstrate skills using inert rounds.
  8. Basic use of cover.
  9. Basic shooting and moving.
  10. Close quarters shooting.
  11. Pass shooting qualification and written test with 90 percent or better score.
