USCCA Children’s Firearm Safety Fundamentals Long Gun’s

Prerequisites: A parent or legal guardian must accompany each child. The child must be a minimum height of 48 inches and at least 8 years of age. Appropriate for up to 16 years old. The minimum age per our range rules is 8 years of age. We recommend this class to the age ranges of 12 and up for the best experience due to the level of detail and training  time spent in the classroom. 

Objective: To give a child (and their parent/guardian) a positive initial firearms experience in the safe handling and shooting of a firearm. Low-recoil .22 caliber firearms can be utilized from our rental fleet ($19 rental fee) or you may bring a firearm to use. The class is geared towards handgun education on a more intermediate level.

Class Description: The class includes safety videos and hands-on instruction with the four firearm safety rules. This class is the natural next step for youth that are interested in learning more about handgun components, mechanical operation, ammunition and safe handling procedures. Emphasis is put on safely firing a firearm and is demonstrated and practiced during all portions of our youth training program.
