Objective: To become familiar with holding, sighting and firing pistols safely and efficiently.
Class Description: Class teaches basic fundamentals. Students will learn how to handle a firearm safely and how to practice at the range. Taught along National Rifle Association (NRA) guidelines, the new enthusiast will learn how to operate both a revolver and a semi-automatic pistol.
This is a live-fire course where students will shoot between 50–100 rounds. There will be .22 caliber pistols available for rent for a $15 fee (firearm ammunition is extra). Participants may use a higher caliber if preferred, but rental fee and ammo will be an additional expense. We recommend students bring their own firearm so they can become familiar with the firearm they will be using.
Class Includes: • Top-rate instruction • State-of-the-art range facilities • Low student-to-teacher ratios
Required equipment not included but available for rent or purchase: • Personal firearm • 50–100 rounds of brass cased ammunition • Eye and ear protection
