USCCA PROTECTOR ACADEMY™ SHOOTING QUALIFICATIONS

Protector Academy is a training program exclusively for USCCA members. It combines eLearning, in-person training, and a shooting qualification to help you become a more confident and proficient handgun owner. There are 3 levels of qualification with different requirements.

  • Level 01

    • Complete the online courses Handgun Safety and Marksmanship Fundamentals and Children’s Firearms & Safety Fundamentals: How to Teach Kids About Firearms
    • Take a two-hour in-person class of your choice with a certified firearms instructor
    *We recommend either Situational Decision Making or 2 Private Lessons
    • Shoot the required course of fire (to schedule complete the contact form below

  • Level 02

    • Complete the online courses Defensive Shooting Concepts and Emergency First-Aid Fundamentals
    • Take a four-hour in-person course of your choice with a certified firearms instructor
    • *We recommend either Pistol Skills 1 or Applied Principles of Conceal Carry and a Private Lesson
    • Shoot the required course of fire (to schedule complete the contact form below)

  • Level 03

    • Complete the online courses Emergency Preparedness Fundamentals, Countering the Mass Shooter Threat, and USCCA LaserTRAIN
    • Take a six-hour in-person live fire course of your choice with a certified firearms instructor
    • *We recommend the Conceal Carry Class
    • Shoot the required course of fire (to schedule complete the form below)
