Ladies’ Fashion Ideas for Valentine’s Day

February, 10 2015

Whatever your plans for Valentine’s Day, a fashionable outfit is a must. While we do love a great pair of denim, dresses just seem right for this holiday. They’re sassy, flirty, and probably not what you wear on a daily basis. Valentine’s Day is a special occasion, so don’t be afraid to be distinctive and have some fun! Here are some outfit ideas from our boutique sure to make you feel chic, as well as elicit a double-take from your cowboy.

We love this off-the-shoulder lace dress by Union of Angels. Lace is the ultimate feminine fabric, but this larger pattern is a bit bolder. We styled it in store with a great belt, long beaded necklaces, and boots, although there are countless ways to wear it. You could swap out the long necklaces for a chunky piece that sits at your collarbones, add a denim or leather jacket, go with shorter booties… it’s such a versatile piece.

This little black dress, also by Union of Angels, features peek-a-boo sleeves that flutter at the hem to provide movement. We adore the braiding detail around the neck and down the sleeves. It adds a bit of edginess. Complete your look with fringed booties like we did here, or try black cowboy or riding boots, or colored or patterned heels. (This dress is also available as a little chocolate brown dress.)

These dresses by Ryu are simply lovely. Both are feminine and whimsical, with circular appliques skirting the hems. Bows that tie at the halter necklines wrap up each look. Since the dresses themselves are such showstoppers, keep your jewelry minimal. If you want to layer, try a thin knit sweater the same length as the dress or add a military-inspired jacket for great juxtaposition. And if you’re daring with your style, add a statement hat like the one shown below by Steampunk Hatter.
